When to come
July and August are the busiest months. Spring brings trails and asparagus; October brings the Marunada. Outside midsummer, Lovran is generally quieter and easier to explore on foot.
- Winter · Carnival
- The Kvarner takes carnival seriously — masks, bell-ringers, processions.
- Spring · Asparagus Days
- Wild asparagus season in every konoba; the hills turn green and the trails open.
- June · Cherry Days
- Lovran's own cherries, briefly and everywhere.
- June–September · Secrets of Lovran
- Guided evening walks through the old town's hidden corners.
- July · Summer in Lovran
- A month of open-air concerts — Lovran Night, the dance & music festival, the Jerry Ricks Blues Festival.
- October · Marunada
- Three chestnut weekends: Lovran, then Dobreć, then Liganj. Our favourite time of year.
- November · Light Festival
- The town lit up once more before winter quiets it down.
