When to come

July and August are the busiest months. Spring brings trails and asparagus; October brings the Marunada. Outside midsummer, Lovran is generally quieter and easier to explore on foot.

Winter · Carnival
The Kvarner takes carnival seriously — masks, bell-ringers, processions.
Spring · Asparagus Days
Wild asparagus season in every konoba; the hills turn green and the trails open.
June · Cherry Days
Lovran's own cherries, briefly and everywhere.
June–September · Secrets of Lovran
Guided evening walks through the old town's hidden corners.
July · Summer in Lovran
A month of open-air concerts — Lovran Night, the dance & music festival, the Jerry Ricks Blues Festival.
October · Marunada
Three chestnut weekends: Lovran, then Dobreć, then Liganj. Our favourite time of year.
November · Light Festival
The town lit up once more before winter quiets it down.

Dates shift a little each year — the tourist board keeps the current calendar at visitlovran.com.
